Ohio investigators are probing a fatal shooting involving police in the Alliance Police Department, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, an arm of the Ohio Attorney General, received a call from local police early Sunday afternoon, following the fatal shooting of a person on South Linden Avenue, the newspaper reported.
Steve Irwin, spokesman with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, declined to release any further details.
“BCI was requested by Alliance Police Department this afternoon to investigate a fatal officer involved shooting,” Irwin confirmed. “No officers were injured.”
