The Iowa Central volleyball team stretched their current win streak to seven with four wins over two days at their own invitational over the weekend.

After sweeping past Neosho County and Central-Columbus on Friday inside Hodges Fieldhouse, the 11th-ranked Tritons did the same to No. 13 Illinois Central and 18th-ranked Bismarck State on Saturday.

“Our girls showed some great mental toughness as they battled through the challenges and exertion of playing four matches in a 24 hour period,” ICCC head coach Sara Horn said. “We had multiple girls step up throughout the weekend and our team continues to show our balance and how different people can step up at different times.

“I’m definitely proud of their growth so far this season.”

Emma Bilhimer had 16 kills and Noemia Chiacchio 15 vs. Neosho for Iowa Central (10-1 overall). St. Edmond graduate Mya McClain recorded 18 digs and Mercedes Madlock had 17 with 40 assists.
