Google once again accidentally gave us a glimpse of its upcoming flagship phone – Pixel 8 Pro.  Listed on the tech giant’s official website, an image of the phone in Porcelain colour appeared on the company’s promo page for ‘Google Subscriptions and Services.’

First spotted and shared by a user who goes by the handle ‘android_settings’ on X (formerly Twitter), with the image description saying ‘a person takes a call on a Pixel 8 Pro phone in Porcelain.’

While the device may look similar to the Pixel 7 Pro, a closer look reveals the upcoming phone has a redesigned camera module, with all three lenses housed in a single pill.

The Pixel 8 Pro will reportedly ditch the curved screen in favour of a flat display and is said to be powered by Google’s in-house developed Tensor G3 chipset.

Even though it carries over the Pixel 7 Pro’s design language and 120Hz 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen, Google is rumoured to bring significant improvements to the camera setup. The phone will also feature a built-in thermometer that can measure the temperature of humans and objects using infrared.

The back of the phone is rumoured to pack a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary lens accompanied by a 64MP ultrawide lens and a 48MP telephoto lens. It is speculated to come with 12GB RAM and might be available in 128GB and 256GB variants.

The device will most likely run on Android 14 out of the box and pack a 4,950mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. While Google is yet to reveal the official launch date, the Pixel 8 Pro is assumed to come out sometime in October this year.
