CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ ELLICOTT — Devan J. Jackson, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, no/insufficient tail lamps. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:21 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 86 in the town of Ellicott. An investigation determined that the driver, identified as Jackson, was intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.
¯ FRENCH CREEK — Thomas J. Malesiewski, 50, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speed in zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 11:24 p.m. Saturday on Old Road in the town of French Creek. The driver was identified as Malesiewski, who was found to be intoxicated. Malesiewski is scheduled to appear in court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Kevin L. Bellardo, 51, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers at 9:31 p.m. Sunday conducted a check of two people allegedly committing a code violation in the area of Harrison and Institute streets. Officers learned Bellardo had a valid stay away order of protection issued by Jamestown City Court to stay away from the woman he was with in the area. He was held for arraignment in court.
¯ Jason L. Goodwin, 44, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. While on patrol at Panzarella Park on the River Walk, a woman pointed to an alleged alligator in the water. Officers then located Goodwin sitting on a park bench, who was violating an order of protection to stay away from another person. The alleged alligator sighting was a ruse to keep officers from seeing Goodwin. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.
